Gold Dust
Motel is situated at the centre of Upper Bridge River Valley winter
sports territory. We offer rooms & kitchenettes; discount rates for
sledders & sports groups. See our rooms page for full details about the facilities
available at the motel and in the village of Gold Bridge. There are
three routes into Gold Bridge. One is over the Hurley Pass from
Pemberton, as seen in top right hand photo of a sled convoy. Two, over
the Duffy Road from Whistler, through Seton Portage
& the tunnel from Shalalth, to Carpenter Lake Reservoir on Road
40. And finally, along Road 40 from Lillooet, BC, accessible by Hwy 12
from Lytton, north of Hope, or by Hwy 99. |

Fall
& Winter Sports Hunters have been coming to the Valley for decades to
track down black-tail
deer, moose, and both grizzly and black bear. Most keep
their favourite hunting areas secret, but if you make the effort to get to
our mountain paradise, some friendly local will make the effort to fill you
in on where to go. Heli-skiing is becoming
ever more popular in the Valley. See
our links page for info about helicopter services. Many locals and visitors enjoy cross-country skiing, snowboarding, and trekking
the trails in snowshoes. Ice
fishing is a favourite local pastime, with an annual derby held midwinter.
The Rod &
Gun Club hosts this event, and also a yearly wild game potluck
dinner. See the Bridge

battling snow and ice for. Gold Dust Motel is a handy 1 km from the event,
